Our client is looking for an experienced Property Lawyer with a commercial background to join a growing firm!

About You
You will be able to bring:
- 4 - 7+ PAE practicing Property Law with a Commercial Focus.
- Minimum of 2 years of unrestricted practice in Property Law.
- High levels of ambition and a desire to further their career and build a commercial law team.
- Ability to provide practical solutions to problems presented by clients.
- Strong relationship-building skills.
- Desire to build a department without too much handholding.
- Capability to develop and implement systems and processes to ensure efficiencies and growth.
The Role
Our client is referring their internally referred property law work to other firms. This role will enable them to bring this in-house. You will have the support of the Principal Lawyer and Group CEO and will be responsible for:
- Your own portfolio of files and clients.
- Managing internal and external relationships and their referrals to your department. A significant amount of business is referred internally. There is no need to create and grow your own network.
- Establish systems and precedents for this new start-up department of a well-established legal firm.
- Grow a department focused on all things commercial and property, including option agreements, commercial leasing and conveyancing, complex residential contract advice, separation agreements, guarantor document advice, build contracts, and anything that fits around the strategic focus of property and property finance.
- If you have your own niche legal interests in addition to the above we would be open to hearing about them.
- Liaise with clients, nurture them during their engagement, and execute appropriate legal documents and correspondence.
- Own the responsibility of the end-to-end P&L and client process from opening the file through to invoicing.
