About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Team Leader, Responsive Maintenance, the Property Services Officer is responsible for providing excellent Customer Service to Housing Trust tenants requiring responsive maintenance.
The Property Services Officer will also undertake a range of administrative tasks across the responsive, planned and cyclical maintenance programs.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Extensive Customer Service experience and a positive Customer Service attitude
- Experience in a similar customer or Property Services position, preferably assisting customers with complex needs
- Demonstrated negotiation and problem resolution skills
- Good time management, organisational and multi-tasking skills
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (sound Word and Outlook capability)
- High level attention to detail
- Current driver’s license
- High degree of professionalism, integrity and ethical behaviour
- Strong commitment to delivery of the organisation’s Vision and Values
Desirable:
- Procurement or building industry or asset management/facilities management experience
- Tertiary qualifications in social housing, property management and or project management
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding service to customers every time, especially when circumstances and timeframes are challenging
- Communicate with customers via phone, email, mail, and in person
- Assist with raising maintenance work orders and quotes with approved contractors according to procedure and service standards
- Assist in the coordination and delivery of responsive, planned and cyclical maintenance works schedule (that is, planned upgrade and maintenance works) that ensure our properties (homes) are well maintained
- Maintain and update all tenant and property records (e.g. Greentree and operational registers) in accordance with policy and procedure
- Effectively build and manage relationships with all stakeholders including customers, suppliers, contractors and other staff which will include appropriate conflict resolution and negotiation to achieve positive outcomes
- Undertake property inspections and accompany other team members in the field from time to time
