Ethical Caring Group is looking for compassionate, ethical and knowledgeable Psychosocial Recovery Coaches to provide exceptional and personalised support services to our existing (and new) NDIS participants.
The Recovery Coach position is an evolving role within the NDIS, which aims to support participants with a psychosocial disability who require support to manage complex challenges in their day to day lives. This role can include daytime, weeknight, and weekend work. Hourly rate changes accordingly and it will be up to the employee what shifts they wish to work.
The aim of the role is to support the participant to build capacity so that the participant can experience greater social and economic independence. You will be collaborating with the participant to build an individual recovery plan and supporting them to implement that plan in a way that works for them.
Recovery coaches will focus on coaching participants to have greater involvement in managing their lives. This is not a role where you will be "doing" things for the participant (although if appropriate, this may occasionally be part of the job) You will be supporting the participant to find ways to improve their mental health so they can manage their own lives.
Recovery Coaches will work collaboratively with participants, their families, carers and other services to design, plan and implement a recovery plan, and assist with the coordination of NDIS and other supports.
Lived experience of mental health and recovery is desired.
