Our client specialises in the installation of small and large scale equipment into major infrastructure and construction projects. They are profitable and growing and this role is newly created.
Based at their Norwest offices, this multinational organisation offers a relaxed but professional work environment and the opportunity to work with skilled and capable people and great systems.
The role
Coordinate the purchasing and importation of a wide range of parts by sea and air. Then arrange customs clearance through third parties and manage the logistics of getting product into company warehouses or direct to client sites.
The responsibilities
Specifically this role involves:
- receiving documentation from the procurement team and placing orders and creating purchase orders with local and international suppliers .
- communicating with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs agents, clients and internal teams by phone and email to ensure everyone is kept informed of progress towards the final ETA.
- coordinating air or sea freight and managing all relevant documentation.
- maintenance of CRM records.
- problem resolution.
In order to be successful in your application, you will have:
- recent experience in placing orders and coordinating the import and shipment of goods, using a CRM system.
- recent experience in coordinating logistics to get product to clients on time.
- excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- a desire to contribute and work as part of a cohesive team.
- be comfortable managing your own day and exercising your initiative.
A salary of $80K plus superannuation with hybrid working, parking onsite and the Norwest metro very close. In addition, the work is interesting and there is a lot to learn about the product. The team feel fully involved in the business and are invited to regular town halls.
