An opportunity exists for a full time Purchasing Officer at our food service branch located on the Sunshine Coast.
About the Role:
Reporting to and working with the Purchasing Manager, this role is responsible for all aspects of purchasing within the branch, including maintaining inventory levels, achieving KPI’s, and managing stock levels in addition to working with all departments within the Branch.
Duties:
- Maintain inventory levels to service the needs of our customers
- Achieve KPI’s for inventory and warehouse efficiencies
- Negotiate with suppliers for positive and ongoing stock deals
- Manage stock levels to ensure customer satisfaction whilst maintaining high stock turns
- Liaise with all departments in a professional timely manner
- Perform some general administration
Skills and Experience:
- Ability to negotiate and strong problem solving skills
- Computer literacy, including the ability to quickly learn internal systems
- Previous purchasing experience, advantage but not essential
