The Opportunity

In the role of Purchasing Officer, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to perform all aspects of purchasing and inventory management. You will manage inventory levels to maintain stock levels and coordinate the placement and logistics of orders from suppliers.
Key Responsibilities

• Review, maintain and update inventory levels
• Manage end to end purchasing from domestic & international suppliers
• Coordinate logistics with freight forwarders and transport companies for inward and outward shipments
• Conduct regular cycle counts and stocktake
• Ensuring customer requirements are met
• Responsible for the maintenance of inventory and supplier records within the ERP system, comprising daily goods receiving, supplier invoicing approval and resolution of supplier account discrepancies

Selection Criteria

• Experience within FMCG Manufacturing desirable but not essential, a knowledge of chemistry is highly advantageous
• Demonstrated previous experience in purchasing and inventory control
• Experience with ERP systems and strong computer literary skills essential
• Strong analytical skills with a high attention to accuracy and detail
• Great written & verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Confidence to problem solve using own initiative
