- Supervising a small team of Chemists
- Ensuring project timelines are being met
- Providing technical guidance and support to the QC Laboratory and be the first point of call for the teams day to day technical and compliance issues.
- Conducting the day-to-day analytical testing using HPLC/GC and wet chemistry testing
- Checking QC results and reports
- Conducting laboratory investigations for out of specification results and invalids
- Troubleshooting problems, and implementing improvements where needed
- Audit readiness
- Documentation reviews
- A Bachelor of Science majoring in Chemistry, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience working within the Pharmaceutical industry and proven experience with HPLC/GC
- Strong GMP knowledge
- Proven leadership and project management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work independently
- Good organisation/planning/co-ordination
- Technical understanding. This can be taught for some techniques, but for Chromatography the candidate needs to have a firm understanding. This team also will benefit with someone that can navigate and use Waters Empower software.
- Ability to manage people
