The Opportunity
Establish, lead and manage Group quality with the Head of Quality. You will be responsible for supporting brand standards on quality expectations of product and goods through reporting, intervention, risk management support and corrective action. This person will monitor, inspect, and propose measures to correct or improve final products and processes to meet established quality standards. Additionally, you’ll prepare and implement quality assurance policies and procedures and perform routine inspections and quality tests. Ensuring CRG product compliance to mandatory standards & legislative requirements.
What does the role involve?
- Establish and maintain, relevant Quality manuals, process documents and procedures pertaining to quality and fabrication across all divisions
- Oversee the implementation and ensure efficiency of inspection and quality systems
- Plan, perform and oversee inspection and testing of products to ensure the quality deliverable
- Support and deliver on strategies to mentor suppliers on continuous improvement across all divisions
- Work with Brand Stakeholders to educate, inspire and drive Quality standards (particularly Design, Product Techs and Product Developers)
- Communicate Quality standard requirements for all divisions, internally and externally to suppliers and agents
- Notify Key Stakeholders of any quality issues resulting in cancellation or rework across all divisions
- Manage all withdrawn styles, through Workplace and Retail Ops including RSA and NZ across all divisions
- Communicate all quality issues to retail teams through Retail Ops and Workplace including RSA and NZ across all divisions
- Establish strong working relationships with CRG internal teams and all suppliers.
- Gather and organize statistical quality data
- Inspect data to detect areas for improvement
Who are we looking for?
- Diploma or degree qualification in Fashion Production / Pattern Making / Quality Control or similar
- Experience within a similar role
- Diploma or degree qualification in quality assurance, supply chain, logistics and/or relevant related discipline
- Time management skills
- Proven understanding of local and offshore manufacturing and retail business acumen
- Experience working with offshore factories and suppliers
- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
- Attention to detail in both workmanship and overall quality of a garment
- Development and management of quality systems and procedures
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong planning and organisational skills
