Position Overview: The Quality Manager reports to the Chief Executive Officer is a member of the senior leadership team and has responsibility for compliance management and delivering best practice Quality services to Warrah’s community. The Quality Manager guides and empowers staff to develop and embed best practice quality and risk compliance into their operational processes and service delivery, in line with legislative frameworks.
Key Accountabilities
Compliance Management
- Manage the Compliance Register including monitoring and supporting preparations to meet obligations required for all items in the Compliance Register.
- Monitor and support the maintenance of the Risk Register.
- Review Incident Reports and ensure prompts are created for all risks on the Register and Management Plans.
Policy and Procedure Management and Development
- Oversee and support the Executive Management team with policy and procedure development and support ongoing monitoring, reviewing and approvals within agreed timeframes.
- Support the Executive Management team with the development and maintenance ofthe Business Continuity Plan for emergency preparedness.
Accreditation and Audit
- Monitor and support the preparation for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) accreditations and audits.
- Manage and support all organisation wide internal audits, including Work Health and Safety (WHS) and Practice of Fire and evacuation of houses/sites.
Quality Control Processes and Reporting
- Maintain a Continuous Quality Improvement Register to document and track all improvements.
- Manage the Board and CEO quality reporting process, including the preparation of reports, such as Quality, Audit and Risk reports.
About you:
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the Disability Services sector, including relevant qualification in Quality Management, Auditing and/or Risk
- In depth understanding of the NDIS Quality & Safeguards Practice Standards and NDIS funding model and processes.
- Understanding of the NDIS Commission including NDIS Commission portal, reportable incidents, and positive behaviour support.
- Sound knowledge of the legislative and policy environment for non-for-profit disability service providers.
- An understanding of the issues affecting people with disability and the delivery of high-quality disability support services, including a passion for supporting people with disabilities to achieve the best they can.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex information and verbally present material in an engaging and effective manner.
- Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Clearance Check, National Criminal History Check
- Full NSW Driver's License (To be able to drive to other sites)
