Our client is a well-established not for profit provider with several residential facilities across NSW and QLD, additionally offering Retirement Living services.
The Quality Officer will support and partner with the Chief Clinical Officer, in delivering an exceptional care strategy across their facilities. Based in Gladesville, they will oversee the internal audit process and CQI strategy, working closely with Care Managers and Facility Managers in the ongoing improvement of clinical care across their portfolio.
The successful applicant will be an accomplished and experienced clinician and a fully qualified Registered Nurse, who is already well versed in identifying quality indicators, SIRS reporting, and who can demonstrate an eye for detail and quality improvement. Experience working with a varied cohort of residents and care requirements, including high/dementia care and clients with other complex care needs will be highly desirable.
The ideal applicant will possess the following:
- Support the Chief Clinical Officer to ensure that the facility maintains and exceeds compliance across all the Aged Care standards.
- Promote and maintain the Aged Care standards and the pursuit of best practice in the delivery of Aged Care by qualitative monitoring of clinical documentation via Electronic Care Management System and system maintenance.
- Ensure clinical care schedules and processes are completed at the Facility.
- Ensure all Incident Reporting completion is clinically sound, and that Critical Incident Investigation and management is appropriate.
- Monitor and ensure clinical incidents are analysed, trended, corrective actions are in place.
- Provide guidance and assist as necessary with incidents that require compulsory reporting.
- Monitor education completion statistics, detail and appropriateness of clinical education, and assist management to ensure staff compliance with mandatory education.
- Auditing of facility processes and ensuring compliance.
- Participate in the Continuous Quality Improvement Program by identifying, suggesting and adopting continuous improvement ideas in the interests of improved resident care and well-being.
