As the Quality Supervisor (morning shift) you will support the Site Quality Assurance Manager by ensuring accurate and cost-effective food safety, animal welfare and quality assurance monitoring and verification processes. You will work closely with the operational team and lead and mentor the sites quality control inspectors.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Quality Assurance Manager to lead the site Product Pride Program within operations
- Manage verification scheduled in line with HACCP and Quality Manual requirements
- Collate and review quality testing results and ensuring effective corrective actions and preventative measures are implemented in a timely fashion
- Verifying that products are manufactured according to quality specifications
- Identifying and escalating animal welfare, food safety, and quality issues
- Investigating and responding to customer complaints and non-conformance
- Providing coaching and training to Quality and Processing employees to ensure an accurate understanding of, and adherence to, animal welfare, food safety & quality standards and ensure compliance with Ingham's Minimum Standard Procedures
- Conducting new product and process trials as required
- Contributing positively to the team environment, fostering open communication and actively seeking feedback
- Being self-accountable for achieving expected outcomes, delivering on individual and team goals
- Participating in development opportunities, coaching conversations and take responsibility for your own growth
- Following the safety rules; Identify hazards and risks and escalate as needed
- Assisting the Quality Assurance Manager with the internal and external auditing programs
- Partnering with Operations to ensure compliance and drive improvement programs
- Effective communication with Site Operations Leadership Team
- Preparing QA weekly reports
