About the role
Applications are invited from experienced administrative workers to join our professional team. The primary purpose of this position is to provide cover for personal / annual leave for current roles and can include working individual shifts and week blocks. Shifts can include 24 hours, 7 day per week, including public holidays, across numerous departments. The Reception/ Administration Assistant will perform day-to-day administrative duties and requires a strong focus on customer service skills including a pleasant welcoming manner and the ability to relate appropriately to a broad range of people.
Skills and experience
Essential:
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
Pleasant and courteous telephone manner
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Demonstrated computer literacy skills including Microsoft Word and Excel and willingness to be trained in the specific programs required
Demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, use initiative and maintain accurate records
Well developed time management and work process skills
Desirable:
Recent clerical experience in a similar role
Qualifications in Business Administration
Experience working with switchboards
Experience with cash handling, EFTPOS
