Receptionist

Aquis Park Home of the Gold Coast Turf Club hosts some of Queensland's pinnacle racing events, such as Jewel Raceday, Hollindale Stakes, and The Summer Magic Millions Carnival (a raceday with over 11 million in prize money and over 20,000 attendees annually), approximately 50 race meetings a year and planning to hold night race meetings mid 2024. 

We provide an impressive event venue, with over 20 different event spaces and an abundance of outdoor areas and lawns. Situated on a luscious and green 34-hectare site in the heart of Surfers Paradise, we are a mere stone’s throw away from the Gold Coast's most iconic beaches. 

The Role

As our Receptionist, you will be responsible managing the front desk, receiving and directing all front of house enquires, liaising with patrons, owners, trainers, members and staff via personal interaction at the front desk, phone and email.

This position is full time Tuesday through to Saturday 8:30am to 5:00pm.

An interest or understanding of the horse racing industry and events management is encouraged but not necessary. 

About You

• Minimum 2 years previous Reception experience in a similar role
• Immaculate personal and professional presentation
• Exceptional phone manner and communication skills
• Keen eye and attention to detail
• Time management skills
• Dispute resolution and negotiation skills
• Intermediate Computer skills to include Microsoft office
• Ability to think outside the box and work independently
• Micropower software knowledge an advantage
