The Heart Research Institute (HRI) is an internationally recognised Medical Research Institute that performs ground-breaking cardiovascular research from our state-of-the-art facilities located in Newtown.

We are looking for an experienced Front Office Receptionist to manage the Reception area of our Institute, in a job share arrangement with our existing Receptionist. The role will also assist with administration support for the Human Resources team and the Scientific Group Leaders from time to time.
As the face of our Institute, you will be meeting and greeting all visitors, answering phones, managing mail, couriers and deliveries, performing administrative tasks and interacting with all of our Scientists, Students and various other colleagues.
This job share role will see you working 4.5 hours per day/5 days a week from 12.30pm until 5pm. You may be required to work some additional/different hours from time to time (covering days off and holidays), so we are looking for someone with flexibility, however any changes to your schedule will always be organised in advance and in consultation with you wherever possible.
Essential Criteria:
- Experience working in a front office reception and administration role
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Professional and clear phone manner
- Excellent personal presentation
- Strong administration skills with an eye for detail and accuracy
- Ability to multi-task
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). SharePoint experience would be a bonus
- Capable of independent work, but also enjoy working as part of a small team
- Ability to manage confidential information in a professional manner
- You must be fully vaccinated to access HRI sites
