AddressBouchier Khan Lawyers is a specialist criminal defence firm providing the highest level of legal representation to our clients; through its offices located in Toowoomba, Ipswich, and Brisbane.
Our Toowoomba office has an opportunity for a receptionist with the genuine desire to showcase their administration skills in a specialist field to join the team. The receptionist will be the first contact point for external stakeholders and must be well presented, professional, and articulate.
Their primary responsibilities will be:
- liaising directly with clients.
- arranging appointments and diary management.
- placing and answering phone calls.
- file management and client support.
- lodgments with external agencies for funding.
- drafting and generating correspondence and court documents.
- filing, brief preparation and scanning of documents.
- assisting with day-to-day administration tasks including taking payments and receipting monies.
- maintaining professional reception and office areas.
Possession of a strong ability to give attention to detail, perform multiple tasks together, and work effectively with other members in a team setting is highly desirable.
A full-time position is available for reliable candidates with:
- excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
- accurate typing skills.
- proficiency in transcribing dictation and a familiarity with legal terms and language is desirable.
- working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Dropbox.
- ability to work to a deadline.
- demonstrated resilience and an ability to work in challenging situations.
- a willingness to learn new skills.
Prior experience will be highly regarded but applicants with legal or other administrative backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply. This position would also suit a skilled undergraduate law student looking to gain intensive exposure to legal practice.
