Position: Orthodontic Receptionist/Dental Assistant
Job Description: Your dual responsibility will be to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the front desk and clinic, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to both patients and staff. This role plays a crucial part in creating a positive patient experience and maintaining the overall flow of the practice.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify and update patient information in the system
- Handle patient inquiries, provide information about services, and address concerns
- Provide quotations, process payments, insurance claims, and maintain accurate financial records
- Coordinate patient flow and manage patient records
- Assist clinical operators
- Process instruments through sterilisation cycle
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and emailing
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a receptionist or dental assistant (experience in a dental/medical/orthodontic office is a plus)
- Proficiency with dental/orthodontic software (experience with HICAPS and Medicare preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
