Provide end-to-end Record and administration support for a Government Body.
Your new company
Operating from Footscray, this organisation is currently seeking a Records Officer to join their Team in a full-time capacity, in a temporary ongoing assignment.
Your new role
In addition to administrative work, the Record Officer's responsibilities may include taking charge of scheduling meetings, taking minutes, maintaining relevant databases and systems, producing reports and presentations. You will also be required to:
•Survey, registration and appraisal of records for retention or disposal.
•Preparation of records for offsite storage.
•Performing manual handling activities for records, boxes, and files, including archiving and disposal.
•Scanning and filing of Records to meet business requirements.
•Support the process for final Archiving or Disposal including seeking signoff from information owners and stakeholders.
•Create Digitisation plans.
•Ensure Electronic Document Record Management Systems (EDRMS) are updated and maintained.
•Provide support to ensure Record and Information Management is compliant with PROV and Statutory Government Requirements.
DELIVERABLES: Records Appraisal & Sentencing – 50%. Records Surveying – 25%. Records Disposal – 25%.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in obtaining this opportunity, you will have a willingness to learn, a proven work ethic and preferably experience as a Record Officer. You will also need:
•Proven Administration and Records experience
•Excellent Microsoft Suite knowledge including Excel and Sharepoint
•Motivated with excellent organisation skills, a positive attitude and excellent communication skills
•Ability to read and review documents ensuring all data aligns
