  • Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, and hybrid ways of working

About The Position:

The Recruitment and Events Officer is a member of the Student Recruitment Team and is responsible for actively coordinating, managing, and promoting recruitment events and campaigns for the University.

A key part of this role will be to plan key campaigns/events whilst being able to manage stakeholder relationships both internally and externally to RMIT.

The role also will partake in administrative tasks, operation and logistics for events planned - Both virtual and face to face events.

The role includes promoting RMIT courses to prospective students through on-campus presentations and tours, off-site presentations, career expos and events to large groups of prospective students for RMIT and may require working outside typical hours/weekend during key event periods.

To be successful in this position, you'll be able to:

  • Provide general administrative support to the Recruitment team, this may include but not limited to managing project timelines, documents, invoicing, preparing run sheets, presenter briefs, training sessions
  • Ensure key stakeholders are supported with information and assistance in a timely manner
  • Actively work with colleagues to effectively maintain and manage accurate data entry and information management and reporting
  • Coordinate aspects for in-person events such as event management, collaterals, event documentations, workshop equipment and associated logistics such as catering, security, venue, working with service providers etc.
  • Support the delivery of online workshops assisting with breakout rooms, polls and attendance records as required
  • Assist with other Recruitment activities throughout the calendar year, these will be a mix of virtual and in-person recruitment offerings
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
