We have a unique opportunity for a Refrigeration Sales Engineer to join one of Australia’s largest industrial refrigeration companies. We are looking for someone with a background and qualifications in mechanical engineering and experience with industrial refrigeration systems. The successful candidate does not need a background in sales; instead, we are looking for someone with solid technical knowledge and industry experience who wants to step into a Business Development role.
Ideally, the role will be based in Brisbane or Melbourne. However, we are open to the role being based at one of the other Oomiak locations in Sydney, Adelaide, or Perth for the right candidate.

About You
You are an experienced and qualified mechanical engineer wanting to work for one of Australia’s leading industrial refrigeration companies Your exceptional technical ability is supported by excellent commercial acumenYou will have a desire to drive sales and represent our brand in a professional manner You ideally have experience in industrial refrigeration with exposure to Ammonia, Freon and CO2 refrigerants You will be a great communicator where you can explain technical information to a variety of internal and external stakeholders You will have a desire to provide support to our internal capital projects and customer service teams to help win new project and service contracts You will stay up-to-date with industry developments, emerging technologies and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge What You’ll be Doing
You'll be comfortable approaching prospective customers You’ll be generating sales from initial enquiry through concept development and quote preparation You’ll be a subject matter expert to assist our Capital Projects and Customer Service teams nationally You’ll be working in a variety of industries, including logistics (cold storage), manufacturing, food processing and beveragesYou'll work from your home capital city (Ideally Brisbane, but it could be Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide or Perth) and will have opportunities to work across Australia.
