Wiley’s Global Corporate Sales team helps pharmaceutical and medical equipment companies drive clinical impact, by providing them with solutions that leverage digital content, reach and technology. Our services include online advertising, sponsored publications, educational websites and webinars, all based on the reach and authority of Wiley's scientific journal portfolio and society network.
About this role:
The Regional Sales Manager will plan and execute the sales territory plans for the different territories in RoAPAC (Rest of APAC) region, by managing a team of experienced remote Account Managers, in addition to supporting the growth and business development by personally managing accounts and opportunities within the territory.
Th RoAPAC region includes several important markets for our business, incorporating all regions across Asia Pacific excluding the major regions of Japan, China and India.
How you will make an impact:
- Establish and enforce strong collaborative working relationship with RoAPAC Corporate Sales team members built on frequent communication to provide excellent sales leadership, set goals, identify and act on opportunities, resolve conflict, direct and monitor performance, engage with stakeholders within Wiley and the RoAPAC markets and contribute to strategic thinking.
- Participate in the development of business and sales strategy to deliver RoAPAC Corporate revenue.
- Oversee and manage forecasting, phasing and re-forecasting for sales
- Identify issues, future opportunities and resolve problems based on knowledge of the sales process, our customers and the marketplace.
- With the Global CS Health management team, ensure there is strong alignment between the deployment of sales resources and the strategic priorities of the business.
- Contribute to the development of products and pricing structures to meet market needs and maximize sales
- Establish a sustainable culture of revenue growth
- Build and maintain an in-depth insight into the economic conditions of the market, receptiveness to Wiley offerings and competitor activity
What we look for:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Over 5 years’ of sales experience, ideally within healthcare/pharmaceutical specific digital educational solutions, or work closely with healthcare/pharmaceutical clients
- Proven track record of success in people management/leadership role
- Has an extremely deep understanding of business strategy, competitor analysis, competitive position, pipeline management and sales forecasting
- Ability to successfully build alliances and influence key decision makers both internally and externally
- Data driven, analytical and accountable
- Willing to travel
- Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation, presentation and computer skills.
