About the service:
AC2 is a newly established 20 bed Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) ward. AC2 provides specialist care to general GEM patients in a supportive and safe environment.
Working alongside a dynamic multi-disciplinary team we ensure we are providing the best practice by a team of committed health care professionals who consider each person’s individual physical, psycho-social and spiritual needs so they may have the best possible engagement with life.
We aim to promote cognitive recovery and develop a person-centred care plan which can be implemented at home or in a residential care facility.
A day in the life of working on AC2:
The new ward environment will be supported by a diverse multidisciplinary team including a dedicated medical team, Allied Health and nursing team including NUM, ANUM, Registered Nurses, Endorsed Enrolled Nurse, and Health Assistant in Nursing as well as a dedicated Ward Clerk.
We are looking for Registered Nurses to support the newly established ward.
- Registered Nurses that are eligible to apply must have at least 12 months acute/subacute experience or minimum 18 months aged/residential care experience
What you'll need to succeed in any of our vacancies:
- You are an AHPRA Registered Nurse and are willing to work a range of AM/PM & ND shifts, within our supportive and dedicated multidisciplinary team
- You are compassionate, caring and have the mindset to make a difference
- You are ready for a new challenge or wanting to commence your career in a hospital environment
