Overview:
We are seeking a Reliability Engineer with demonstrated fixed plant experienced gained in the resources industry. A technical expert, you will be responsible for gap identification and closure to strengthen and embed onsite reliability processes and basics/fundaments to supporting a shift to Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM). The end goal is to improve equipment reliability and thus plant runtime in addition to reducing maintenance costs. You will determine the risks that can cause process equipment failure, outline the financial, production and other risks associated with these asset failures, and support the organisation with the development of loss elimination and lifecycle asset management strategies to minimise asset downtime. You will also instruct the organisation on how best to manage fixed plant equipment to ensure longevity and continual performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify potential issues, provide recommendations, and implement solutions to improve processing plant reliability, availability, and maintainability.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement reliability programs, processes, and procedures to improve equipment performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Conduct failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) for operational-dependant assets.
- Perform predictive analysis procedures to identify when and how failures might occur to support the development of planned maintenance procedures and develop effective asset management processes.
- Develop performance evaluation criteria and assessments for operational assets outlining the benchmark for asset performance, ensuring a productive and safe operation.
- Conduct root cause analyses to diagnose asset failures and develop corrective and preventive actions to reduce downtime and improve performance.
- Review existing and/or create and monitor life cycle asset management plans (LCAM) ensuring operational procedures conform to the processes outlined in the LCAM.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop proactive maintenance strategies and operational plans that minimize equipment downtime and maximize uptime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and performance.
- Work with operations, maintenance and design teams to ensure equipment and systems meet reliability and maintainability requirements.
- Provide technical support to production processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Support the uplift of the reliability function through the provision of ongoing coaching, mentoring and training.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements for equipment and systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (Australian certified).
- 5+ years of experience in a Reliability Engineering role or related field.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with statistical analysis tools.
- Knowledge of Reliability Engineering principles, techniques, and tools.
- Experience in maintenance, design, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, analyze, and solve complex problems.
- Attention to detail when diagnosing problems with assets.
- Experience with maintenance management systems and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
This is a FIFO role with a minimum 15 days onsite per month, based out of Perth. To ideally start this April.
