- Review architectural plans, engineering drawings, and project specifications to understand project requirements and scope of work.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and obtain competitive pricing for materials, labor, and services.
- Conduct quantity takeoffs and accurately estimate material quantities and costs for residential construction projects, including high-end finishes and luxury features.
- Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, cost breakdowns, and value engineering recommendations.
- Evaluate project scope changes, requests for information, and contract amendments to assess cost impacts and adjust estimates accordingly.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, pricing data, and project documentation.
- Stay abreast of market trends, material prices, and labor rates to ensure competitive pricing strategies.
- Minimum 1 year experience in estimating, ensuring accurate project cost assessments.
- Comprehensive understanding of the residential construction process, contributing to efficient project planning and execution.
- Qualification in Building / Construction and/or trade experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with estimating systems, facilitating streamlined workflows and accurate estimations.
- Strong time management skills, ensuring timely delivery of estimates and project milestones.
- Inherent self-motivation and a drive to excel, fostering a proactive and results-oriented approach.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to upholding quality standards.
- Problem-solving abilities, enabling effective resolution of challenges and optimization of processes.
