Crossley St Cantina is a Spanish influenced tapas restaurant and cocktail bar in the heart of Melbourne CBD’s theatre district.
We are looking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the Venue Manager.
With a strong background in hospitality, F&B, and both front-of-house and back-of-house management in a fast-paced environment, you will be a role model, trainer and leader for the team, assisting the Venue Manager in all FOH areas of the business, as well as being a bridge to our guests with positive energy used to drive success within the venue.
The ideal candidate:
- Will assist in day-to-day operations, stock ordering and stock control within the venue
- Knowledgeable with alcohol including beer, wines, spirits and cocktails
- Assist in overseeing the responsible service of alcohol and up-keeping of a safe workplace
- Work closely with the Venue Manager/Owner ensuring operations and overall success of the business
- Will be able to lead staff to deliver a high quality service in a fast-paced environment, while staying composed under pressure
- Will have chosen hospitality as your profession, always lead by example and enjoy problem-solving
- Have a high attention to detail
- Possess superior communication and interpersonal skills
To be the best fit, you will be a highly self-motivated and a savvy operator. You’ll have excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to share your knowledge, train and manage staff. You’ll have a hands-on customer service approach and be the cultivator of good venue vibes.
Role:
- Assist with function and booking enquiries
- Hosting / Floor (some bar work pending skillset)
- Work with owners to roll out marketing/social media plans
- FOH staff training
- Work closely with the Venue Manager to ensure a smooth relationship between FOH and BOH
- Respond to and resolve customer feedback and complaints
Salary - $65k plus depending on experience
