Knight Fuel Pty Ltd, (ACN: 626 699 303) owns and operates a Busy Restaurant located at the Julia Creek Roadhouse, Julia Creek, Rural Queensland.THE ROLE:
This is a full-time role (Minimum 38 hours per week) that will require you to oversee, lead, manage and liaise between the various culinary teams (Front of House & Back of House), customers and management.Your tasks will include:Participating in the planning of daily, weekly and seasonal menus alongside the back of house and management. Overseeing and taking bookings/reservations and liaising with the kitchen, management and customers in the restaurant. Where required, organising events, parties, functions according to customer requirements. Maintaining stock levels, records and supplies for front of house. Placing orders with suppliers, negotiating prices, purchase arrangements and delivery of stock from suppliers. Placing orders and ensuring purchases of goods and stock for daily operations, events and functions are within set budgeted costings. Reviewing POS (point of sale) transactions daily at the end of each shift and at close of business, resolving transactional discrepancies, producing and printing off daily, weekly, monthly and periodic reports as required by management/directors. Overseeing and ensuring compliance of front of house work place health and safety requirements. Enforcing food safety protocols. Overseeing dining facilities are always presentable and clean, ensuring cleaning protocols are followed by wait staff.
Welcoming guests/customers, ensuring meals and service are to customers' satisfaction. Trouble shooting any customer complaints/issues. Assisting floor/waitstaff during busy shifts. Training, reviewing performance of and overseeing wait staff and service. Where required participating in hiring of wait staff and kitchen staff with management.THE PACKAGE:
This is a great opportunity! You will be paid a solid base package of $62,000 to $70,000 plus superannuation.YOUR QUALIFICATIONS OR PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE:
It is expected that you will come from a commercial Restaurant environment where you have had previous restaurant management experience of at least 2 years. In the absence of formal qualifications, 3 years of work experience as a Restaurant Manager will be acceptable.YOU:
Must know how to lead a team and be able to demonstrate all facets of managing a restaurant. You are a good communicator, think on your feet and are able to work efficiently.
