The Opportunity
We are looking for a Retail Communications Specialist to join the team on a 12-month basis. Working on behalf of the Ford Dealer Network, the role is integral in managing the delivery of our integrated advertising campaigns from concept to completion as well as managing our Dealer Facing Community Programs, bringing our Ford Aussie Hoops and Community Club Initiatives to life. 2024 will be an exciting year with big campaigns in store across our ICE and EV vehicles as well as supporting Basketball Australia on the road to Olympics.
This role sits within the Marketing Communications Team, located at our National Sales Company (NSC) in Richmond Victoria. Reporting to the Retail Communications Manager, the role will work very closely with Ford’s Advertising and Media Agency as well as Ford Dealer Network representatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of operational deliverables for the Retail Communication department including Ad campaign management, website and owned asset management, budgeting, point-of-sale management, tactical campaigns and dealer-events.
- Alignment and gatekeeping of key retail messaging across multi-media platform, collaborating with Media, Brand, Social Communications and legal teams (internal and agency) across Always-on and Retail Ad Campaigns.
- Support ongoing relationship deliverables with all members of the Ford Dealer Advertising Fund, including monthly meetings organisation.
- End-to-end lead organiser on National Dealer Meetings (up to 5 per year) including event and venue management, finance approvals as well as presenting SME Topics relating to Advertising Strategy, planning and campaign tracking.
- Lead Dealer communications cascades including monthly bulletins and campaign news and forward planning presentations to Sales team.
- Lead analysis and insights: competitors (auto/non-auto Retail), creative landscape, metrics dashboard, insights, recommendations for improvement, sales/business updates to Agency, sales conversion analysis .
What we are looking for
- Ability to demonstrate understanding of creative development process, role of stakeholders at each step of the journey and provide concise feedback
- Proven ability of delivering a campaign end to end with multiple stakeholders and multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to convert data into actionable insights and present back to multiple stakeholders
- Proficient with integrated media plans
- Ability to critically analyse work against aligned briefing criteria
- Hold a tertiary qualification in business, marketing or similar
- 5+ years in a similar role
