We are looking for a self-driven, enthusiastic Retail Development Manager to join our team, who is self-motivated and able to travel extensively throughout New South Wales..
This company is a successful Buying/Retail and Marketing Group who operates in the Petrol & Convenience Market and requires a Full-time Retail Development Manager to join their dynamic and supportive team.
To be successful in this role:
- Must have a passion for retailing, have prior experience in being able to merchandise products e.g. store setup / displays.
- Must also have a good understanding of the operational processes involved in the running of & setup of a retail store.
- Be confident in being able to build customer relationships in a short period of time.
- Prior retail experience in a Grocery/C-Store environment & or have previous FMCG experience as a sales rep,
- Have excellent verbal and written skills
- Be self-motivated
- Highly organised and driven in delivering business and customer results
- Be able to work independently without supervision
- The candidate will need to exhibit excellent customer relationship skills and be able to react quickly to an ever-evolving marketplace and be able to build solid long-term relationships with their customer base.
- Merchandising & sales experience is necessary to be successful in the role.
Core Responsibilities:
- Effective sales and territory management
- Recruiting new business as well as maintaining current customer base
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with current customer base & new retailers
- Preparing and adhering to monthly journey plan schedules for new sites and customer visits
- Work with customer base to develop plans to maximise net profitability – outlining in-store changes, helping execute instore plans to improve profitability in line with \company initiatives & retail expectations
- Monitoring actual sales versus targets and identifying trends and mitigation strategies, especially for unprofitable customers
- To the best of their ability strive to achieve key company KPI’s
- Executing new store developments
- Executing instore relays

- Previous experience in either a supermarket retail environment i.e. Coles/Woolworths or C-Store retail environment or prior experience as a sales rep with a FMCG company necessary.

The role will require travel throughout NSW and the package includes a Car Allowance / Company Phone & Laptop.
