Risk & Compliance Manager

About the Role

Hastings Deering is on the hunt for a Risk and Compliance Manager to join our award-winning team in Archerfield, Brisbane. This is a Permanent, Monday to Friday role.

As a Risk and Compliance Manager  you will:

• Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of processes and documentation to support operational Risk Management and Assurance Activity and across Hastings Deering
• Manage and maintain business frameworks to support compliance with AS/NZS ISO 31000: 2009 Risk Management , and maintain certification to ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management and ISO 45001:2018 OHS Management Standards
• Manage the health, safety and environmental legislative obligations relevant to Hastings Deering business operations including compliance monitoring.
• Undertake internal audits as required SHEQ
• Manage the audit team and audit schedule and conduct internal audits where required.
• Partner with operational stakeholders to facilitate third-party audits
• Provide direction and coaching to stakeholders on risk, compliance and quality requirements.
• Travel regularly for compliance activity

About You

A successful teammate will have experience in:  

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role in an operational or resources environment
• Experience in managing teams
• Auditor qualifications 
• Diploma qualified in Health and Safety and/or Risk Management or similar relevant qualification (ie engineering)
• Knowledge of HSE legislation and relevant International and Australian Standards
