Days & Hours of Work: Monday to Friday totalling 38 hours per week
Competitive Salary: Band 5 - $78,462.47 p.a. + 11% superannuation
Location: Council Office in Sandringham, with some limited flexibility to work from home

About the Role:

Bayside Care and Support is looking for a customer focused Rostering Officer to support Council's expanding aged care service.

The Rostering Officer is responsible for:

  • Overseeing the development and maintenance of permanent and operating rosters for a geographical team of care workers and ensure they reflect client agreed services.
  • Providing leadership and support to a Rostering Support Officer who assists in the provision of excellent customer service through responding to telephone calls and providing a positive experience in all interactions with clients and staff.

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring care worker rosters meet agreed client services.
  • Supporting and coaching a Rostering Support Officer.
  • Providing an excellent customer service.
  • Inputting accurate information into the client management system.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

  • Understanding of the needs of older people, people with disabilities and their carers.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to focus on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to lead and coach staff to meet performance outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to achieving excellent customer experiences.

Mandatory pre-employment requirements:

  • Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check.
  • Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check. 
  • Be fully vaccinated with at least two approved COVID-19 vaccines or have proof of medical exemption.
