Our client is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that offers nationally recognised dance training courses and encourages their student teachers to dream big and reach their full potential as they obtain their professional qualifications and enjoy outstanding dance experiences. Our client is Australia’s largest membership-based dance organisation with over 30 years of educating and supporting dance teachers to teach.
The Role
As an RTO Quality & Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for administering all aspects of RTO compliance operations, including monitoring third-party agreements, state funding and administrative tasks.
This is a temporary position for six (6) weeks, with the possibility of becoming permanent. The role will be three (3) days per week and commences in late May/Early June.
This role is located in Loganholme, Brisbane.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain up-to-date knowledge on the VET sector and regulatory requirements
Monitor the RTO's compliance with the VET Quality Framework, including third party agreements
Communicate and implement any changes to regulatory requirements with other staff members and third-party partners (if required)
Plan, schedule and either conduct or oversee; internal audits, course reviews, assessment validation, and marketing reviews
Maintain trainer qualification register – ensure all trainers and assessors hold and maintain currency in relevant qualifications and units of competency
Prepare any required applications to ASQA (including submission for change of scope, change of details and renewal applications)
Submit required data to funding bodies
Assist the RTO Manager in completing the Annual Declaration on Compliance
Develop, review and maintain relevant policies and procedures
Maintain and implement continuous improvement
Participate as a member of an extended service team in line with organisational values.
The Successful Candidate
Previous experience working in a compliance or quality assurance role in an RTO environment (Essential)
Knowledge and understanding of the Standards for RTOs 2015
Experience in using an RTO student management system
High level of attention to detail
Excellent organisation and time management skills
Independent research skills
Strong working knowledge of computer applications including Outlook and Microsoft Office packages (Word and Excel) as a minimum
Highly developed written and oral communication skills
