The Role
This operational Safety Health and Environment Advisor encompasses the engagement between operations, safety and the leadership team, empowering operations through leadership skills, behavioural safety, support and advice. You will work across the safety management system making it user friendly and moving towards an integrated approach. The main challenges for this role will be leading the process by example, changing behaviour by providing accurate HSE advice and building relationships with internal staff.
Review and monitor incident reports to ensure quality and timely standards are met. You will consistently develop, promote, monitor and manage health and safety provisions across the business division.
Requirements
- Minimum WHS Diploma or Degree qualified, Cert IV in Training & Assessment, Incident Investigation trained (Taproot or ICAM).
- Demonstrated extensive knowledge and minimum two years’ experience in safety role across a heavy blue collar and manufacturing business.
- Demonstrated experience in the management of employee/industrial issues with an understanding of the application of legislative requirements.
- Demonstrated strategic planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven leadership ability to drive change and to initiate and develop solutions within the organisation.
