About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Safety, Security & Systems Coordinator to join our highly motivated team. Our logistics business provides storage, maintenance and distribution services to the Australian Defence Force in an ongoing contractual agreement.
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be primarily responsible for promoting a positive safety and security culture that is compliant with regulatory authorities.
You will have experience in providing guidance to staff as well as advising your peers and managers on Safety and Security issues. The role also provides administrative support to ensure depot compliance, giving a high level of responsibility to the position.
Within the logistics services business there are +17 depots throughout Australia which allows various development opportunities as we strongly believe in promoting from within where possible.
Implementing and administering site wide safety and security practices with the intent of preventing or minimising risk and hazard exposures
Coordinating return to work and rehabilitation plans for staff within the region
Conducting safety and security risk assessments and review and implement control measures
Conducting investigations into safety and security breaches and report findings to management
Ensuring regional compliance with all Commonwealth & State legislative requirements and maintain all government required licences
Coordinating and delivering regional training programs
How About You?
Formal qualifications in HSE/OH&S/Business and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent experience
Knowledge in heavy vehicle compliance and chain of responsibility would be highly advantageous
Safety experience working across current state and federal legislation and regulations would be desirable
Experience within a warehousing, stores and distribution environment
