About the role
We are now seeking a Sales & Service Representative to join our team in Pooraka.
In this role, you will be reporting to the Sales Manager and be expected to demonstrate your outstanding Sales and customer service skills daily.
The role will suit someone who is happy to travel and meet existing and establish new customers. Throughout your travels you will be handling and delivering automotive batteries and associated products, providing reliable and effective customer service and much more with iconic and trusted brands.
The main duties and responsibilities of the role, whilst not limited to, include:
- Achieve sales targets in your territory
- Provide reliable customer service by following a scheduled call plan
- Build lasting relationships with customers
- Handle and deliver automotive batteries and associated products daily
- Increase sales to existing customers
- Manage stock levels effectively
- Follow company's policies and procedures;
- Be responsible for inventory under your care at all times, whether in the warehouse, on your truck or at the customer's premises
- Proper use of administrative tools, from manual dockets to mobile devices for invoicing and record keeping purposes
- Help introduce new products and promotions to the trade
- This is a physical job where regular handling and lifting of batteries weighing up to 25 kg is required.

What we want in you
- MR or HR licence (Mandatory)
- Forklift licence will be advantageous, but not mandatory
- Previous experience in the automotive battery industry will be advantageous
- Route planning experience with the ability to manage inventory on your van as well as in the warehouse;
- Being service driven and able to work unsupervised.
- The ability to build strong relationships with customers.
- Attention to detail with paperwork and inventory control.
- Be physical fit and willing to handle and lift car batteries weighing up to 25 kg on a regular basis
- Strict adherence to policies and legislation involving conduct, safety and Dangerous goods.
- The ability to pro-actively participate in any ideas for improvement across the Sales and distribution network;
- A full medical examination to determine your health/fitness to carry heavy batteries may be required before being accepted for this role
Note: you will be required to do atleast 4 overnight trips in a month.
