Foamex is a leading manufacturer and supplier of Expanded Polystyrene material in NSW.  Established since 1982 we are a Privately Owned Australian Company with a reputation for providing quality products and outstanding service; our organisation continues to grow & service a wide range of clients across multiple residential, commercial & reseller sectors.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales & Business Development Representative to join our Revesby based team.  Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will draw on your sales skills and experience in building relationships with customers and converting new prospects.

As the Sales & Business Development Representative, you will be a result driven individual with a strong customer focus possessing the ability to add value to both our business and our loyal customers business. 

Day to day you will be responsible for:

  • Promote our diverse product range to Distributors, Manufacturers, Builders, Architects, Contractors, Specifiers, Developers, Retail/Hardware and Project Managers
  • Maximise sales and achieve business growth throughout the NSW & A.C.T. regions.
  • Successfully negotiate key account contracts 
  • Develop profitable sales results
  • Provide market projections and information to develop strategies, sales targets and suitable proposals
  • Proactively source business opportunities with new and existing customers
  • Participate in Trade Shows and other similar Product Events
  • Ensure customer service levels and the Company’s ability to supply are recognised, communicated and upheld

To succeed in the role, you must be an effective communicator, have a ‘can-do’ attitude, with a mature outlook who is naturally meticulous and accurate in all aspects of their work.

Other skills we are looking for include:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a Sales & Business Development Representative within the building and/or insulation industry
  • Will have a proven record of sales growth
  • Capable of reading engineering/architectural drawings & preferably with a tertiary/trade background
  • Possess outstanding interpersonal/communication skills and strong presentation skills in order to influence others and build solid, long-term business relationships
  • The ability to manage a diverse set of customers whilst tailoring solutions to achieve customer satisfaction 
  • Ability to generate new business through cold calling and other marketing strategies
  • Requires computer skills including Word & Excel, strong math skills and the ability to ‘think outside the square’
