The Role
A fantastic opportunity exists for an experienced, self-motivated Sales Engineer/ Process/chemical sales professional to join our Company. We specialise in providing and producing solutions for clients across the globe in the mining/minerals processing sector. We are seeking a dynamic Sales Engineer to sell specialised equipment into key market sectors across Australia, Southeast Asia and Africa.
Reporting to the GM- Sales Department, you will be responsible for identifying new potential revenue streams within the Minerals processing sector, through new and existing clients, with a strong focus on developing new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Primary point of contact for existing customers
- Identify new potential revenue streams within the Minerals processing sector, through existing clients with a strong focus on developing new business opportunities
- Identify new applications for the company's products within the Minerals processing market
- Organise client visits (in-person or online meetings)
- Apply Engineering concepts to modify the customers' existing technology and promote company's products as an alternative
- Estimate total costs and prepare a detailed proposal for the customer review
- Develop and execute the client plan for new product and process implementation.
- Assist in the process of machine commissioning at the customer's facility including training the client to use the product
- Perform post-installation visits and evaluations
- Provide client support including maintenance and troubleshooting of the equipment on site
- Promote products via tradeshows and by attending conferences
- Attend to administrative requirements such as weekly sales reports, monthly expenses etc
Skills and Background
- Bachelor of Mechanical Process / Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Trade Professional with 5 – 7 years’ experience in sales in Mining and Minerals Processing industry
- Knowledge and previous experience working on large EPC and EPCM projects for the mining sector.
- Previous experience in the supply Spare part and Equipment in Mining and Minerals Processing Industry
- Competent in working independently and able to drive a team to successful outcomes.
- Involved with project delivery, liaise with PM’s Senior Mechanical Engineers and clients.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and plans.
- Extensive computer uses and knowledge of CRM system.
- Must be able to problem solve, logical thinking, have attention to detail and committed to quality.
- Proficient in Sales and ability to meet all sales objectives and targets.
- Clean driver's license.
- Ability to quickly learn products and systems and internal processes and to drive revenue to the Mincore business.
- Proficient in English
- Must have a full-time work permit.
