THE ROLE
As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for promoting the companies valve, measurement and control solutions to both new and existing customers throughout South Australia. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating closely with consulting engineers, contractors, and end-users to secure projects and MRO contracts within the oil & gas, mining, and industrial sectors
- Establishing and nurturing long-lasting customer relationships through strategic partnerships and educational initiatives, ensuring that our product range remains the preferred choice for customers
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities by conducting market research, analysing industry trends, and proactively seeking out potential clients, thereby expanding the company's market presence and driving revenue growth
- Leading the sales process from the initial planning phase through to successful closure, demonstrating a proactive approach to driving sales
- Providing continuous updates to customers regarding product changes and modifications, ensuring they are informed and satisfied with our offerings
- Actively participating in industry events and training programs to enhance industry knowledge and expand networking opportunities
ABOUT YOU
You will have exceptional business development skills, ability to obtain appointments, probe for enquiries, pursue opportunities and close the sale. As a successful candidate seeking a long-term role, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Mechanical or Electrical/Instrumentation Degree OR equivalent qualification (Desirable)
- Minimum of 5 years experience in selling valve, instrumentation, and automation solutions
- Highly developed communication and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of the mining, water treatment and oil & gas sectors
- Knowledge and experience with SalesForce (Desirable)
- Willingness to travel within South Australia and interstate if and when required
