About the Role
Reporting to the Sales manager, our sales team provides an interface between our customers and Operations team. Telephone and email enquiries are the core flows of sales based communications, with an aspect of OTC sales to our ever-growing and loyal, local customer base. Sales will include, generating quotes and sales orders, activating and growing our strong account base and growing product lines into existing and new sectors.
A background in plate processing and or plate product estimating will be beneficial as it is a large part of our growing business.
Duties and Responsibilities
Customer service, including telephone sales, preparing quotes and processing sales orders. Identifying new business opportunities.
Interpret customer drawings and prepare stock steel quotes and processed plate quotes / orders based on customer requirements.
Working remotely may be required pending project-based sales and account or product development.
Accept the challenge of working in a fast paced and exciting industry that is always changing to our customers needs.
Identify areas of sales expansion within our business model. (Australia wide)
Skills and Experience
Prior steel distribution and sales experience is essential.
Plate processing estimation and general background
Excellent communication skills
