Total Paid Hours (per week) & days required: 12 hours per week over 2 days

Salary level, range or hourly rate: School Officer Level 4 - $35.90(School Salary Scale)/(Services Salary Scale)

Employment conditions: Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement

Sophia College is a Catholic secondary school located in the Lockyer Valley, approximately 80kms west of Brisbane. The Laboratory Officer's role is to assist the Science department with the daily functions of the College laboratories, contributing to the design and demonstration of experiments under the guidance of academic staff, where a degree of discretion and judgement is required.

The Science Laboratory Officer must be meticulous and ensure that all correspondence and communication meet the highest standards.

To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
