About the Role
As the Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities you will contribute to the efficient and effective operation and environment of the school by providing a high level of Grounds and Facilities care and support to the Principal, Business Manager or nominated delegate.
You will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Demonstrated ability to maintain Facilities;
- Ability to conduct minor repairs and maintenance to Grounds and Facilities (except jobs that require a qualified tradesperson);
- Assist with clearing and hosing of drains and gutters and waste management;
- Capability to perform activities consistent with workplace, health and safety guidelines;
- Ability to liaise with various internal and external personnel (e.g. tradespersons) on a variety of repair and maintenance issues;
- Responsible for a range of activities required by administration team, including management of deliveries to the school, deposit of school funds to the bank, preparing classrooms for examinations and preparing assembly halls including moving/arranging furniture and seating; removing and relocating furniture from room to room, maintain various registers and stocktaking and recording/engraving of school equipment/furniture and assets.
This is a OO2 progression position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the OO2 classification with eligibility for progression to the OO3 level once specific criteria have been met. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of OO2 to OO3 classification range.
