We are actively seeking an accomplished Security Operations Shift Manager to join our esteemed team at the Airport Integrated Operations Centre that is responsible for 24/7 management and oversight of entire security and kerb-side operations. This critical leadership position involves overseeing and responsible for managing Security Operations during designated shifts, requiring a sophisticated blend of leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and security of the airport, encompassing incident response management at the terminals, meticulous oversight for ensuring accuracy in deployment to meet SLAs and KPIs and steadfast commitment to security compliance and safety protocols. - Key Responsibilities
Supervision and Leadership
- Lead and supervise a team of security personnel during assigned shifts.
- Accountable for approximately 300 personnel per shift inclusive of front-line leadership elements.
- Ensure adherence to security protocols and procedures.
Incident Response and Management
- Overall Management of security incidents, emergencies, and alarms promptly.
- Liaise with relevant authorities, law enforcement, and other stakeholders during incidents.
- Coordinate with Terminal Managers and security teams to ensure a swift and effective response to incidents within terminal premises.
- Document and report incidents, investigations, and actions taken.
Monitoring and Surveillance
- Utilize advanced security technologies for real-time monitoring and surveillance.
- Identify and analyse security threats, vulnerabilities, and trends.
- Take proactive measures to prevent security breaches.
Oversight of Deployment Status
- Manage resources and deployment that meets Airport KPIs
- Ensure optimal staffing levels are maintained to meet security requirements.
- Collaborate with the scheduling team to address any deployment issues and adjustments.
Oversight of Compliance and Safety
- Ensure unwavering adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address any safety or compliance concerns promptly.
Collaboration and Communication
- Foster collaborative relationships with other departments, including airport operations, airlines, and ground services.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with the Integrated Operations Centre and Airport Security Team
- Conduct regular, comprehensive briefings and debriefings with security personnel where applicable with Terminal Managers
Compliance and Reporting
- Uphold strict compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Generate meticulously detailed reports on security activities, incidents, deployment status, and performance metrics.
- Implement corrective actions based on insights derived from reports and audits.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Aviation Management, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered.
Mandatory
- Proven leadership skills in high pressured environments and leading multi-faceted teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable
- Track record in Security Operations, preferably within airport or critical infrastructure settings
- Aviation Security Management or Operations certificates.
- Prior experience in emergency response or crisis management
