AddressHazeal Newman & Associates is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team. This position is on a full time basis Monday to Friday, however flexible working hours maybe negotiated for the ideal candidate.
Remuneration will be based on qualifications and experience. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 6 years experience working in a public practice.
The role will include:
- Preparation of financial statements.
- Preparing income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies using various accounting software.
- The ability to perform reconciliations of accounts.
- Preparing BAS.
- Processing clients Single Touch Payroll and superannuation.
- Setting up of partnerships, trusts and companies.
- Experience and competency using Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
The ideal candidate:
- High level of attention to detail.
- Have experience using a diverse range of accounting software programs.
- Be able to work effectively as a part of a team.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of income tax and GST.
- Minimum 6 years experience working in a public practice.
