Senior Accountant

Food And Beverage Australia Limited (“FABAL”) is regarded as one of South Australia’s leading food, beverage, agri-business and agri-tourism organisation’s, a leader with a suite of branded products sold across multiple channels within the FMCG sector.   As the organisation embarks on the next phase of its growth, we’re now leading a search process to appoint a commercially savvy, Senior Accountant looking to take the next step in their career.

The Role

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and with strong working relationships across the organisation, the role will be a key member of the finance team, charged with ensuring the timely completion of monthly management accounting reporting, analysis, and playing a key role in the completion of the half year and full year reports and annual audit.. Specifically, your responsibilities will include,

• Monthly Management accounts for FABAL Group entities, Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet. 
• Prepare analysis of financial reports for Management. 
• Liaise with vineyard staff and management in the preparation of Management Accounts. 
• Aid with the completion of half year and full year external audit of various FABAL Group entities. 
• Aid with the preparation of budgets for various Group entities. 
• Management of Asset register and depreciation schedule. 
• Preparation and submission of monthly BAS reports.
• Process debtor invoices and payments, and Bank Reconciliations monthly. 
• Prepare and process Bank leasing transactions for capital items.
• Liaising with bankers for the various Group entities. 
• Perform other duties as requested from time to time. 

Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will have responsibility for providing professional financial management services to the Group entities as part of the broader finance team.  In this hands-on role you will undertake multiple financial tasks and contribute to achieving the strategic and business goals of the organisation. This is a critical role and will require exemplary leadership, management, and communication. CA/CPA qualified, you are a highly experienced, commercially minded Senior Accountant with experience gained from within the FMCG, Food, Beverage, Wine, and/ or aligned environments. The role will be based at the FABAL HQ located at Kent Town, South Australia.
