Our client, a listed global technology company, is looking for an experienced Finance Manager or Senior Accountant to work along side with the Regional Financial Controller, in a hands on role, to support the execution of financial control, reporting and decision support at a consolidated level across the Global Businesses to ensure financial and operational effectiveness objectives are met.
This is an exceptional opportunity to step into a business that is going places in a role that will be varied, challenging yet rewarding. Initially you will be employed by the business in a fixed term contract for 6 Months as they settle the team structure going into next financial year.
Responsibilities include:
- Directing the month-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting of monthly and YTD results.
- Providing insightful analysis and reporting to key stakeholders, driving strategic financial based projects.
- Preparation and finalisation of the half year and year-end financial statements.
- Be a key point of contact for the External Auditors in relation to the half year and year-end audit process and key accounting issues
- Champion and lead the embedment of accounting policies and providing technical accounting advice into finance processes and financial reporting at all levels
- Contributing as required to the successful delivery of finance improvement initiatives across the Global Businesses including providing relevant subject matter expertise.
- Influence all levels of the organisation though impactful communications, passion, business partnering and collaboration.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, including CA qualified
- 6+ years’ experience in financial reporting or a related field
- Technically proficient with the application of Australian and international accounting standards, foreign currency, tax.
- High level of initiative with a strong results orientation
- Outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail
