Qualifications & experience

• Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major
• Commencement of CA or equivalent
• 3+ years in a similar role
• Strong Communication Skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Have a high level of analytical skills, intermediate level of Microsoft Excel and that you have superior written and verbal communications skills.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Preparation of tax returns and financial statements for a range of clients, sole traders, partnerships, trusts, companies, and SMSF's.
• Comfortable with bookkeeping, payroll, reconciliations, and business management on a variety of software (including Xero) as well as liaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodies as required.
• Prepares clear and concise work papers as evidence of work performed;
• Checks financial statements and management accounts eliminating adding, referencing and typing errors;
• Assists with tax planning for clients;
• Complies with lodgement program by meeting lodgement dates and requirements.
