Due to an internal promotion, our finance team is looking for a Senior Accounts Officer to become a key player in our Springwood office, where flexible working options are readily available. We have also recently transitioned to a state of the art invoice scanning and workflow AP software, therefore no more processing invoices!
We are seeking someone who thrives on variety and is eager to take the next step into a leadership role, transitioning into our Accounts Team Leader that oversees a small team in both AP and AR. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a similar capacity or currently operates in a senior Accounts payable role.
Specific duties will include, but not limited to:
- Ensuring invoice workflow is operating smoothly and following up on unapproved invoices
- Strong focus on cost over run invoices
- Supplier reconciliations and creditor statements
- Setup new suppliers and subcontractors
- Weekly, bi-monthly and monthly payments
- Assist with daily payments email to CEO & CFO
- Liaising with creditors, construction supervisors and managers regarding account/invoice queries and problem solving
- Assisting the AP team leader with general duties and playing an active role in process improvements.
The successful applicant has:
- Demonstrated success within a similar high volume accounts payable role
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
- Attention to detail and ability to resolve accounts payable related issues
- Experience in using a large ERP such as Dynamics AX, SAP or Oracle and invoice scanning systems
- A can do attitude
- Self-motivated and the ability to meet deadlines with accuracy
- Ability to work proficiently in a team.
