SalaryWe're looking for a Senior Advisor to join our Regulation & Assurance team with a focus on generator connection studies. With GHD's ever-increasing international focus on future energy solutions, we are further expanding our highly regarded teams across Australia by engaging with the top talents in the power systems industry to help us deliver leading-edge solutions to our global client-base.Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Technical delivery of generator connection studies and related regulation and access projects and other advisory engagements
- Provide inputs for proposals and opportunity-related pursuits.
- Supports the development of tools and systems to efficiently deliver quality Generator Connections Studies and analysis advice.
- Collaboration with Technical Directors and Advisors to shape service offerings and form relationships with potential clients.
- Power system modelling and analysis, load flow studies, fault studies, transient stability and voltage stability analysis.
- Contributing to projects across the broader advisory business as required.
- Supporting other advisory teams with infrastructure-related investment advice, advice on operating decisions, and the delivery of power systems projects and proposals.
- Relevant degree in electrical engineering or power systems
- Knowledge of fundamental grid connection studies and power system analysis concepts
- Curiosity through experimentation and experience; seeking out ways to grow and to be challenged by new and novel conditions.
- Software experience with PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSCAD, Simulink, Python, Matlab
- A Client Centric approach with a key focus on prioritizing client needs, taking action to provide high-quality client experience.
- Understanding of the generator connection process in the NEM
