Opportunity for a Senior Analyst to join our Business & External Data Reporting team within the Data Analytics & Insights business unit. In this multi-faceted role you will contribute to the redesign internal and external reporting suite delivers a multi-year project to transform our data-enabled decision making.
The team is responsible for the transformation and dissemination of data via interactive visualisations and dashboards, supporting our people in making decisions underpinned by easily accessible data. It is also responsible for promoting market transparency through the publication of data on the industries and entities regulated.
This role will primarily touch on multiple aspects of mandate: More specifically you will:
Work closely with relevant internal teams to explore and establish data infrastructure and pipelines to support internal and external reporting:
Provide input on data collection and taxonomy design to facilitate report building and data querying
Work with IT developers to provide requirements for how the data is modelled in SSAS cubes and the data warehouse
Use R & SQL to contribute to the design, build, and maintenance of reproducible data pipelines which serve the data dissemination process across different data collections.
Deliver targeted, clear and impactful data visualisations and reports to facilitate data-enabled decision making:
Gather complex reporting requirements for reports that best support a smooth workflow and gathering of insights
Design and build reports and visualisations using Power BI, including creating calculations using DAX, transforming and modelling data from SSAS cubes and the data warehouse
Work with IT testers to determine test scope, approach and test cases when testing reports and calculations o Support users in the use of Power BI to consume and build reports, including providing training
Provide guidance on best practice in terms of report design and building in Power BI
Demonstrated experience in in building flexible but targeted data and reporting solutions, along with producing and reviewing conceptual and logical Power BI / SSAS data models is essential for this role. Coding experience in languages such as R and SQL are essential, with experience with Python also beneficial.
The successful candidate will have the ability to manage the needs and expectations of a variety of stakeholders. You will have highly developed written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent attention to detail.
On Offer - This is an initial 6 month contract with a high chance of extensions. Hybrid working model from home and occassionaly the CBD offices.
