Your new role
As the Senior Analyst, Trade Operations you will support the investment process by ensuring appropriate systems and processes are in place. You will capture all investment transactions generated from internally managed portfolios in a timely manner to provide an accurate investment book of record for the management of the individual portfolios. In this role you will be working mainly with OTC Swaps trades. Experience with MarkitWire and Aladdin is highly beneficial.
Key duties include but are not limited to:
- Timely and accurate processing of new OTC Swaps trades such as Equity Total Return Swaps, Credit Default Swaps, IRS and Cross Currency Swaps
- Able to process lifecycle events on OTC Swaps and ensure settlements against counterparties are accurate and on time
- Ensure appropriate systems, processes and reporting is in place to provide the internal managers with an accurate investment book of records.
- Assist in overseeing the delivery of confirmation and settlement processes provided by the Middle Office provider.
- Keep abreast with lifecycle events of the loans and credits portfolios and ensure updates are processed accurately and timely including timely settlements of lifecycle events.
- Knowledgeable in FX Forwards processing and transaction lifecycle would be a plus
- Provide timely query resolution and escalate to Management where appropriate.
- Develop a strong working relationship with the members of the Internal Management teams to achieve best outcomes for the fund. This may include organizing and chairing meetings with other Internal Management teams regularly to analyze issues and collaborate for a way forward.
- Ensure the portfolio management system of the fund continues to meet the needs of the investment department.
What you'll need
- Tertiary qualifications in Business or Accounting disciplines.
- Proven track record in confirmation and processing of OTC Swaps transactions both cleared and bilateral.
- SME for OTC Swaps.
- Strong stakeholder management ability and effective communication skills.
- A proven track record within a middle office environment.
- Previous experience within a buy side fund manager or pension fund.
- A high level of attention to detail and ability to meet delivery deadlines.
- Experience in Aladdin is beneficial but not essential.
- Proficient user of trade confirmation platforms such as Omgeo CTM, MarkitWire, DS Match, ICE Clear, FXall.
