Senior Analyst - Revenue Optimisation

About the role

Pacific National's Commercial Solutions team are growing, an outstanding opportunity has presented itself for a Senior Revenue Optimisation Analyst. As the Revenue Optimisation Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and profitability of Rail Haulage Agreements within the organisation.

This position will focus on reviewing Pacific National's contracts, ensuring contract implementation compliance, and identifying where additional services are not being charged to a customer. By meticulously examining agreements, collaborating with various departments, and identifying areas for improvement, you will contribute to maximising revenue and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyse contract terms, pricing structures, and billing processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to rectify any discrepancies or gaps in revenue collection.
  • Work closely with commercial verticals, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure the proper implementation of PN's right to charge for all services provided.
  • Monitor contract adherence and compliance with pricing agreements, service level commitments, and other contractual obligations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to prevent future revenue leakage through effective contract management practices.
  • Proactively identify instances where PN's service delivery exceeds contractual commitments.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling or renegotiation of agreements based on value-added services provided.
  • Collaborate with sales and account management teams to explore potential revenue-generating opportunities.

About You

To be successful in the role you will need at least 2 years' experience in an analytical, financial analysis or contract management role. You will have demonstrated experience partnering with various teams and stakeholders at all levels and ideally experience within infrastructure, transportation or logistics industries.

Additionally, you will also possess:

  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, or relevant experience.
  • CPA or CA qualifications would be advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex contractual terms and financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in contract review and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong credentials and demonstrated experience in financial modelling and in particular, discounted cash flow analysis including the modelling of upfront capital investments.
  • Strong analytical, communication, business partnering and problem-solving skills.
