Contract: Part-Time
Reports to: CALEXICO Director
Location: CALEXICO Head Office, 7/46 James Street / Remote

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper, to take on the responsibility of day-to-day bookkeeping alongside improvement of current financial systems and efficiencies, on a part-time basis, with the flexibility to work in a hybrid setup.
You will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial record-keeping, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. If you have meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently, this is the role for you!
Responsibilities:
- Manage end to end bookkeeping
- Process payroll and superannuation
- Manage all accounts receivable and payable
- Preparation of monthly financial analysis and Profit and Loss
- Data entry of all daily financial transactions
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records regularly to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Utilise accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) proficiently to streamline processes and improve efficiency
- Maintain cash flow forecasts
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements and cost saving opportunities
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to support decision-making
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies
- Support the team to resolve accounting discrepancies and answer financial inquiries
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and exercise discretion in handling sensitive data

Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years bookkeeping experience across multiple clients
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Meticulous and accurate with strong attention to detail
- Highly proficient in Xero and advanced Excel
- Analytical with a strong understanding of finance/business standards and statutory requirements
- Ability to work autonomously or in a team environment using cloud-based platforms for remote communication
- Superior organisational skills, with a passion for procedures and processes
